We have performed a study of the evolution of three different clinical cases of Dry Keratoconjunctivitis (“Dry eye”), in the dog.
In all the cases the Schirmer-test is low to the 5 mm/minute.
Each case has different etiology. (Traumatic, Fire – wind – Liver, and Yin – deficiency – Kidney) and different acupunctural treatment, following the Traditional Chinese Medicine recipes.
From the obtained results, we can conclude that acupuncture can be a good alternative method, in the treatment of this disease.
