Slovak Republic legislative in the field of Acupuncture has been in force since 8 November 1993, when a concept of Acupuncture as specialized medical field was issued.It specifies rules for Acupuncture practice in the entire Slovak Republic health system institutions network. The concept contains: Acupuncture characteristics and scope, main tasks, workplace and employee categorisation within the field, education possibilities in both pre- and post – graduate courses, scientific research activities, professional management of the field, Acupuncture relation to the remaining medical field.
